Most of the bars here in Cuenca are closed on Sunday, it just happened to be a Sunday the day Canada played the U.S. for the Olympic gold metal and WON, yahoo!!! One bar owner though decided to open for the game and we got to watch it on a 'small' screen TV. We Canadians, 8 of us, got there first and had front row seats bellied up to the bar. What a day, such a good game. The U.S. contingent were very gracious in defeat even cheering and yelling right along with us.
Canada did so well in the Olympic games this year, I am so proud to be Canadian.
